About This Wedding Day

Jenna and Johan celebrated their wedding at Kronovalls Slott, a French Baroque castle in the south of Sweden known for its historic architecture, landscaped gardens, and intimate elegance. After eight years of waiting to host their celebration, they chose a venue that reflected their shared vision of a wedding inspired by the great royal traditions of Europe. The setting brought a sense of ceremony and continuity, while remaining deeply personal.

The day began with a ceremony at Fageltofta Church, historically connected to the estate and home to the coats of arms of Kronovall’s former lords. The service was held entirely in English, following the tradition of Swedish royal weddings and honoring both families’ cultural backgrounds. After the ceremony, the couple arrived at the castle in an authentic royal horse carriage, a symbolic entrance that echoed classical processions and gently set the tone for the evening ahead.

Inside Kronovalls Slott, the interiors became central to the celebration. From floral arrangements in the entrance hall to the Empire Room prepared for dinner and the Blue Dining Room reserved for dancing, every space reflected a sense of timeless refinement. Guests experienced an evening shaped by classical music, heartfelt speeches, and a wedding cake inspired by Princess Victoria’s ceremony, followed by fireworks cascading down the Grand Staircase.

The celebration continued with a choreographed first dance to Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty Waltz, a moment that brought together classical music, cinematic romance, and the stately character of the castle. Details such as dresses inspired by Kate Middleton and Grace Kelly, symbolic bouquets, the blend of guests from Sweden and the United States, and the presence of Countess Angelica Sparre all contributed to a day that felt both majestic and deeply human.

This wedding was a modern royal love story, shaped by intention, tradition, and emotion, unfolding within one of Sweden’s most atmospheric and historically rich castles.
