Ask how visible they'll be on the day. Some crews shoot from a distance with minimal direction; others are far more present with staged shots and prompted moments. Neither is wrong, but it's worth knowing which you're hiring before the day arrives.
Clarify what's actually included. Hours of coverage, a second shooter, drone footage, raw files, and delivery timelines vary enormously between studios — get these details in writing rather than assuming.
Read past client reviews for specifics, not just star ratings. Comments about communication, discretion on the day, and how a studio handled last-minute changes tell you more than a number out of five.
Budget accordingly for the top tier. At the very top of the market, studios like Plus Two Films and Lumen Wedding Films work well above €20,000 for full destination-wedding coverage — that tier typically buys larger teams, cinema-grade equipment, and longer post-production schedules. It's one valid path, but not the only one to a film you'll love.
